DIY: Galaxy Print Shoes
Am I the only one obsessed with galaxy prints right now?? I thought not, so when I gave these shoes a makeover the other day I took it as a fine opportunity to blog about them in all their glory! The shoes themselves were ridic cheap- $4.74 at Big W if I remember correctly?- and I bought a pair specifically for DIY purposes, so you know, creative love right here! Anyhow, they took me less than half an hour to make, and I think they look pretty rad, so why not have a go yourself? Australian Summer is calling, and what finer wear could your feet be seen in on the lovely beaches?

DIY: Driftwood Necklace Pendants
Today's DIY: turn a piece of driftwood into one of these cute pendants! I love the whole hippy/ boho beachy look, and this is the kind of piece that fits in perfectly with that scheme. I've been seeing quite a few of these in magazines lately, although theirs come from an elite fashion house and cost upwards of $200. Seriously, where has the DIY spirit gotten to? Driftwood comes in abundance and is wonderfully free from your nearest beach, plus when you wear it you can boast about how you made it yourself! So let's go; get your DIY on!

Show & Tell: My Handmade Maroon Collared Blouse
Here are some photos of a top I made the other day. I cut it off an identical shirt I got for my birthday (which I love), and I think this is probably the best piece of clothing I've made yet! It was surprisingly simple- collar included- and I'll definately be making more soon. Enjoy!

DIY: Cassette Tape Purse
This is a DIY I've been meaning to post about for awhile, and I'm so glad I've finally gotten around to it! These purses are a great way to recycle your old cassette tapes, and are really cute aswell! Come on, have a go- I promise it's not super hard!

DIY: Hair Chalking
I'm a definate fan of the ombre/ candy coloured hair trends, but I've never dyed mine before, and a little scared to make the commitment to such a colourful mop! This is why hair chalking is such a great idea- done on dry hair, it should come out in a wash or two (unless your hair is very dry/ light)!
All you'll need for this DIY is a set of soft pastels (available in art/ craft stores) and 5 minutes of spare time. So come on- have a go!

DIY: Steampunk "Slave" Bracelets
Well, this has definately been a busy two weeks for me! I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, but I promise this is the busiest part of my year, and my creative presence is now here to stay.
Here's a cool little steampunk- esque bracelet I whipped up today- I've seen quite a few on Etsy lately, and so finally made one for myself! They're actually surprisingly easy to make, once you've made the few necessary measurements.
So come on, have a go- I promise you'll have an awesome bracelet to show for it at the end!

Show & Tell: Completed Fineliner Drawimg...
Hi there! Yet another Show & Tell today.. but I promise it's a good one! I don't know who remembers, but a while ago I did a post on some of my end- of- semester schoolbook doodles (here). Anyhow, one of them actually inspired my to produce this fineliner drawing- I went home that night after school and the drawing just flowed!
I've been doing it on and off for about a month now, adding a new element as each one occured to me. But last night I finished it, and I'm really excited! The only thing I'm a little dissappointed about is the faint crinkles and a slight rip in the top left corner, courtesy of my lovely cat. Thanks Justine! Anyway, what do you think??
(PS- Happy 3 month anniversary, Kooky Quirky Cute!)
