DIY: Driftwood Necklace Pendants

Today's DIY: turn a piece of driftwood into one of these cute pendants! I love the whole hippy/ boho beachy look, and this is the kind of piece that fits in perfectly with that scheme. I've been seeing quite a few of these in magazines lately, although theirs come from an elite fashion house and cost upwards of $200. Seriously, where has the DIY spirit gotten to? Driftwood comes in abundance and is wonderfully free from your nearest beach, plus when you wear it you can boast about how you made it yourself! So let's go; get your DIY on!

DIY: Wrapped Gemstone/Seaglass/Seashell Pendants

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while; it's been one busy end- of- term rush for me, I tell you! But the holidays are within reach, and with them will come some sweet new DIY's- promise!

Anyhow, here are some wrapped pendants I made a few days ago. I had some fine copper wire left over from playing with soldering irons, so I decided to use it up by making myself some indie bling! It's surprisingly easy- kind of like wrapping ribbon around a gift, really. Instructions after the jump, kids!

DIY: Steampunk- Inspired Watch Pendants

Hands up who wants one of these? I've had this watch face sitting around for years- literally! It was a cheap $10 watch, but within a week I'd accidentally submerged it in water, and that was the end of that one. I'd kept it, knowing I'd one day find a use for it- and here it is!

Steampunk accessories really interest me- the whole metallic, clockworky, quirky feel of it just sucks me in! This is a quite simple DIY project, really- all you need is a few materials and a bit of patience when it comes to unassembling the watch face.

Want to make one of these for yourself? (or someone else, for that matter!) Just keep reading- instructions after the jump!
